Events and challenges

Creating an event or taking on a challenge in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to celebrate their life.

Some people find it helpful to remember or honour the life of their loved one by bringing people together for a special anniversary or birthday, or by taking on their own personal challenge. By organising or taking part in an event in memory, you can raise funds to support our life-changing work and honour the life of your loved one at the same time.

To create your challenge or event simply follow the steps below.

1. Create your page
Setting up your page is quick and easy, just click the create a fund button above and it will take you through the step-by-step process of creating your fund. Once created, you’ll be able to upload images and memories.

2. Share
You can share your tribute fund with family and friends so they can add images and memories to the page and if they would like, they can make a donation in memory of your loved one. On your tribute page you can use the share buttons for Facebook, Twitter and email.

3. Fundraise
If you would like to go one step further in raising funds on your tribute fund page, you can undertake a challenge or event with The Salvation Army. Simply create an event at the bottom of your tribute page which directly links to your tribute fund. Friends and family visiting your fund page will be able to view your event and either participate or make a donation.

The Salvation Army runs a host of events and challenges which can be found on our website, but if you would like to set up your own bespoke event, such as bake sale, a themed run or another event then our Events Team would be happy to guide you through the process.
